You see it, but you don’t believe it.
In the window of the specialty store is the answer to all of your problems… BLISS.
You stare at that beautiful BLISS through the glass, knowing that you’ve finally found what you’ve been chasing after all of your life.
You are determined to buy your BLISS, so you walk into the store and up to the salesperson.
“How much is that BLISS in the window?” you ask.
“Oh,” the salesperson responds, “that’s not for sale.”
“But it’s in the window! I should be able to buy it right now! It will make me HAPPY!”
The salesperson smiles at you and says, “You can’t buy BLISS like you buy the perfect shoes. BLISS is a way of being, not a quick-fix magic pill for happiness. If you truly want BLISS, you must stop looking on the outside for the things that will make you happy on the inside."
Think about that for a moment — you can’t buy bliss — then honestly answer these questions:
- Have you ever shopped for something specific thinking that once you have it, you’ll finally be happy?
- Are you searching for the perfect mate in hopes that he or she will save you and change your world?
- Do you eat, drink, inhale, or take things to “numb out” and force a feeling of peace and tranquility?
- Do you think that once you lose weight, get a new job, pay off the car, etc., that you’ll be successful and happy?
Looking for happiness in things, people, or situations may make us feel good in the moment, but they are not a way to long-term, enduring bliss.
Bliss is a deep state of emotional contentment — it’s a place of being in which there’s always an underlying feeling of joy, satisfaction, and peace. It’s like a feeling of always being held no matter what is going on in your life.
You still will get hurt, feel bad, get angry, or feel scared, but you’re able to bounce back to that place of joy and fulfillment much more quickly and easily. From this place of bliss, you are able to experience life with a sense of awe, wonder, curiosity, and the playfulness of youth.
Mmm… let that soak in. Like a warm bath.
That’s what BLISS is all about. You can’t buy bliss; you can BE BLISS.
And you can experience it for yourself. I invite you to sign up to receive your Blissful Life download today!
